A budget of nearly $1 billion has been set for road repair and maintenance works in Sri Lanka. This programme of road works for 2026 is being planned by Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development.
Roads that suffered damage from flooding or landslides triggered by Cyclone Ditwah. The budget will be split equally between maintenance and repairs to existing roads as well as for new road construction.
