Road expansion works are continuing in the Tibet Autonomous Region in China. The road network in the region had been extended to a total of more than 120,000km by the end of 2021.
The Transport Department of the region has set out a major plan for road development works. Over US$5.7 billion has been spent on improving transport in the region, with a budget of $nearly $3.4 billion being planned for 2022.
