Doosan Bobcat unveiled a reorganisation of its legendary compact loader line at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas this week, simplifying its product portfolio into Classic and Pro designations. New features – such as an AI-powered jobsite companion and an object-detection system – are in line with the company’s focus on improving safety and the overall operator experience.
According to Randi Bakalar, senior communications specialist for Bobcat, the product realignment is designed to simplify how customers (and the dealers helping them) choose the right product for the job. The Classic line aligns more closely with what customers are used to from Bobcat while the Pro designation includes new, advanced technologies.
Powered by AI, Jobsite Companion is designed to speed up the “getting used to” phase of switching to new equipment. Operators can climb in the cab and are provided with an audible prompt such as “optimise settings”. The vehicle will automatically make the settings change based on the optimal configuration as outlined in the owners’ manual.
Bobcat Sense Detection system uses cameras and radar to detect objects and people at the rear of the vehicle and take autonomous actions to avoid collisions.
