Sophisticated control technology is a key feature of the latest continuous machine from VSS Macropaver. The computer system ensures that the material quantities remain constant, no matter the machine speed.
The computer guarantees that all the mixes are optimised with the necessary mix ratio. The material feeds are linked through the computer control system and adjust automatically to match the travel speed. This simplifies the job of the operator, who no longer has to adjust the feed rates and, instead, can focus on driving the machine forward.
The system helps to ensure a more consistent and higher quality finish, as well as optimising material use and eliminating waste. The machine features a conveyor and also benefits from a large material capacity, helping to boost efficiency.
The machine features a dual-motor hydrostatic-drive system fitted to standard differentials, mounted on a truck chassis. For use in the US, this is limited to a speed of 40km/h (25mph) on the road but can be driven at 60km/h in Canada. The drive system offers a key benefit over competing models too, which only allow speeds up to 26km/h (16mph). The machine also has an exhaust brake, unlike its competitors, which helps boost operating safety.
Dual-driving stations are fitted at the front, while the firm can mount a cab to customer request, as is required for the Canadian market.
