A major road project in the Dominican Republic will improve transport in the country. Funding worth $200 million will help pay for the project, which involves upgrading the Republic of Colombia Avenue. The project involves building a new bridge and tunnel stretch, boosting capacity and safety while reducing congestion.
Another major project in the Dominican Republic includes the plan to widen the Ramón Cáceres Highway so that it features two lanes in either direction. The route is located in Espaillat Province and links Moca with the Duarte Highway.
Other road projects being planned the Monte de la Jagua road, which will improve transport to and from Cibao International Airport and a bypass connecting Estancia Nueva and Guaucí.
