Construction works are planned for the new beltway for Belo Horizonte in Brazil’s Minas Gerais State but have yet to commence. The project is expected to cost close to $1 billion to carry out and will stretch 100km when complete.
Funding is being provided by a number of sources including the mining firm Vale as well as the company with the concession for the route, Rodoanel. The concession will be for a 30-year term, with free-flow tolling being utilised.
