Work is starting on five sections of the North-South Expressway in Vietnam. The North-South Expressway project is of immense importance for Vietnam, helping to improve transport in the country. It is expected to deliver an immense boost to Vietnam’s GDP.
Building the 50km stretch connecting Dien Chau and Bai Vot in Ha Tinh Province and Nghe An Province is expected to cost US$483.8 million. The section linking Dien Chau and Bai Vot will be built under the PPP model.
The stretch connecting Nha Trang and Cam Lam in Khanh Hoa Province will cost an expected $238.6 million. Building the 50km section from Nghi Son to Dien Chau in Thanh Hoa Province and Nghe An province is expected to cost $315.85 million.
The section from Cam Lam to Vinh Hao Highway will be constructed under the BOT model. Funding has been delivered by a joint venture comprising Hai Thach Investment Construction JSC, Deo Ca Group, and 194 Construction Investment Corporation.
Building the stretch linking National Highway 45 with Nghi Son is expected to cost $274.64 million. The stretch will feature two lanes in either direction and is being built by two joint ventures. One comprises 18 Transport Construction JSC, Cienco 4, Newcity Group JSC, Hoa Binh Construction Group and Thuan An Trading and Development Construction JSC. The other joint venture is made up of FECON JSC, FECON Infrastructure JSC, Licogi 16, 468 Construction and Consultancy Investment JSC and Dien Phuc Co.
