Reducing plant noise

German quarrying firm Oetelshofen Kalk has cut noise emissions by half and tripled machine service life, by installing dual hardness rubber liners in its crushing plant. Based in Wuppertal, the Oetelshofen quarry company produces 2 million tonnes of limestone products/year, and has a turnover of €35 million/year.

SOKKIA has appointed HKL Baumaschinen in Germany to distribute its construction portfolio through its countrywide coverage. Winter task for Volvos

Four new Volvo L45F wheeled loaders have been supplied to Cambridgeshire County Council's highways department and deployed at four strategic depots throughout the county. In late May, the 2 millionth engine came off the assembly line in Cologne-Porz, which was commissioned in 1993. Hot and warm (HMA/WMA) facility manufacturer, Astec has translated its award-winning website into French. "French-speaking visitors now have access to the wealth of information available at www.astecinc.com in their native language by selecting the Français option at the top of the home page," says the company, a member of the Astec Industries family of companies.
