Interest is strong in the tender process for atunnelupgrade project in Norway. The project will bring the stretch into line with the latest safety requirements for tunnels.
The Glaskar Tunnel improvement work will include updating the electrical and mechanical systems, safety measures and traffic control technology. Also included in the work will be further drilling and blasting, new drainage and work to secure the rock faces. The bids for the project have to be received by 23rd December 2022. The tunnel lies close to Åsane, which is situated to the north of Bergen.
