New South Wales in Australia is setting out its spending plan for road infrastructure. Financing worth US$1.9 billion (A$2.7 billion) has been set aside for road improvements in the state by Australia’s Federal Government.
This funding package will form part of the $65.5 billion (A$100 billion) programme to boost transport infrastructure in New South Wales in the coming 10 years.
Key projects being planned include the $214.5 million (A$419 million) for the Coffs Harbour Bypass and $78.6 million (A$120 million) for improvements to the Western Sydney’s Prospect Highway. They also include $235.9 million (A$360 million) on the Newcastle Inner City Bypass, and $366.9 million (A$560 million) for the Singleton Bypass on New England Highway.
