Two new road tunnel links are being planned for Chile’s capital,Santiago. The parallel tunnels will measure 1.5km in length and both will carry one-way traffic.
Construction of the twin tubes is expected to cost around US$353 million. The work is planned to commence in 2022 and should take 3 ½ years to complete.
The project is being carried out by Chilean subsidiary of Spanish contractor Abertis, Vias Chile. The package of works was signed with the Chilean Government.
