New Nicaraguan road projects are being planned by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MTI). The tender process will open for a new stretch of road that will connect Ticuantepe with Nejapa. The road connecting Panamili with Wiwili will also benefit from improvements.
MTI also has plans to open the tender process for a series of bridge projects. A portion of the funding for the bridges in Labu, Lisawe, Mulukuku and Prinzapolka will be supplied by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
