Construction work for much of the new 112km Kapalbetung toll road in Indonesia should be complete by the third quarter of 2026. The new road links Kayuagung, Palembang and Betung on Sumatra. The work is being overseen by indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works (PU).
The 21.5km Section 1 runs between Kramasan and Sungai Rengas while the 33km Section 2 links Sungai Rengas and Pangkalan Balai. Section 3 of the route measures nearly 15km and links Pangkalan Balai and Betung but will not be ready until the beginning of 2027. The project is being managed under a 50-year concession and is worth $864.5 million.
Work is also being carried out in Indonesia’s Banten Region for the 84km Serang-Panimbang Toll Road National Strategic Project (PSN). The 24km stretch linking Rangkasbitung and Cileles, which is Section 2 of the project, should be complete shortly. The project is being managed by the Ministry of Public Works.
