JCB is adding to its waste handling range with the launch of the JS20MH materials handler and the 4CXWM wastemaster backhoe loader. The 20 tonne JS20MH is the firm’s first dedicated materials handler for the waste and recycling industries. JCB has added to its compact equipment range with the SD580 single drum roller, the SE10-35 forward vibratory plate and the DE35-42 reversible plate. The single drum roller, which is available with or without a dedicated trailer for road towing, weighs 185kg and delivers a centrifugal force of 10kN. JCB has introduced two new soil compactors; the VM117D and the VM137D with operating weights of 11tonnes and 12.2tonnes respectively. The single-drum vibratory compactors can be used for a wide range of work in infrastructure and housing projects and have a smooth drum as standard with pad foot drums as an option. They are powered by JCB’s 93kW Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim Ecomax engines, which meet the emissions target without using a DPF and are said to deliver fuel savings of 16%. Changes to the compaction

JCB will launch 427 and 437 wheeled loaders at Bauma, powered by Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim Cummins engines. First seen in prototype form at last year’s Intermat show, the two loaders are powered by the Cummins QSB6.7 engine, which offers a 9.4% increase in torque over the previous model. This drives through a lock-up converter and customers can choose a standard four-speed or optional five-speed transmission, which delivers a 16% drop in fuel consumption. The new venue for the bC India show is the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, near Delhi. A total of 170,000m² of exhibition space is available for the bauma/ConExpo event taking place from 15-18 December, 2014. The move to Great Noida follows two successful events held in Mumbai.

The 12th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2013) is set to have a record 1,500 exhibitors covering an area of 230,000m2. Numbers of both domestic and international visitors are also expected to grow. Overall, BICES 2013 expects to attract more than 130,000 visitors. JCB has announced the best results in its 67-year history with earnings reaching a new record. While turnover for 2012 remained virtually unchanged at £2.7 billion, profit rose by £10m to £365m on an earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) basis.
