A new highway is being proposed for Guatemala by consultancy firm IDC. The highway will connect San Bernardino, Mazatenango and Cuyotenango. The 31km highway will cost an estimated US$156.2 million. Private financing is being proposed for the project, although there are concerns over the high expense of its planned construction.
