The tender process is now underway for the planned €970 million port tunnel link for the Italian city of Genoa. The client for the project, Autostrade per l’Italia (Aspi), requires that the project be completed in six years and three months.
The bidding process will run until March 24th, 2026. The tender is for the tunnel section of the project, which has an estimated cost of €468 million. The requirements of the tender specify that the tunnel should be driven using a TBM, using conventional, segmented precast concrete lining methods to support the structure.
