A number of key road projects are planned for the Czech Republic. Two projects have been awarded, with a third due to go to tender.

A 7.5km stretch of the D35 highway linking Sadová and Plotište will be built by a consortium. The project was originally expected to cost €103.47 million but the consortium won the tender with a bid of €68.75 million and work should start in September 2024. The consortium comprises the Czech firm MI Roads, Duna Aszfalt from Slovakia and Hungarian company Doprastav.

Meanwhile, a consortium comprising Porr, Porr Bau, and Safety Pro will handle a €15.26 million survey contract for the planned Luka Tunnel. The survey will investigate the subsoil conditions as well as identifying the location of former mining operations and determining whether these will pose a risk, raising any remediation measures that may be required. The deal was awarded by the Czech Road and Motorway Directorate (RMD) and this tunnel stretch will form part of the D3 highway near Sázava.

In addition, the tender process is due for a 7.9km section of the D6 highway between Bošov and Knínice. The tender is also being handled by the Czech Road and Motorway Directorate (RMD) and the project is expected to cost €142.19 million. If the schedule is adhered to construction will commence in 2025 and be complete in 2028. The D6, when completed, will go from Prague through Karlovy Vary and Cheb to the border with Germany. Its first segment was opened in 1980s.
