Work is starting in Argentina for the first stretch of a new ring road costing $300 million. The project will boost transport for Río Cuarto and is being managed by the local authorities in Córdoba.
Once complete, the new ring road will allow through-traffic to bypass the city entirely. This will cut congestion and reduce the number of heavy vehicles entering Río Cuarto, boosting safety.
The 42km ring road is being built in six phases. The new route will link with National Route A-005, National Route 8, Route 36, the Bustos Highway, the East Ring Road and Amadeo Sabattini Avenue.
