Engcon’s smart tiltrotator offers extra capabilities

Engcon is widening its range of tiltrotators with a new generation unit featuring improved hydraulics. The self-sensing hydraulic system can determine the volume and flow rates needed to operate a particular attachment and set the levels accordingly, increasing efficiency and productivity, while also reducing fuel consumption for the carrier machine.

Wirtgen’s compact and powerful milling machine

Wirtgen is introducing its W 150 Fi planer, a mid-sized machine that now benefits from technology first seen in the firm’s larger mills. Power comes from a 9litre John Deere diesel delivering 313kW that meets the Tier 4 Final/Stage V emissions requirements.

The machine is designed to cut a 1.5m width to a depth of 330mm, though it can be fitted with different width drums as well as a range of tooth patterns to suit the needs of the customer and the work being carried out.

Power Curbers expanding slipformer range

Power Curbers is expanding its range of concrete slipformers to meet customer demand. President of the company is Stephen Bullock and he explained that the firm is now offering a new version of its successful 5700-D slipformer aimed particularly at customers in Europe.

The existing 5700-D model runs on three tracks but the new 5700-D4 is a four track machine. Bullock said, “This is just to reach that market that wants a four track machine.”

Versatility key for new sunward excavator models

Sunward is introducing an array of versatile new construction machines, with a key launch being for the new SWE155FW wheeled excavator.

This marks a major departure for the Chinese firm, which has previously focussed on selling its compact machines in Europe. At the same time, Sunward is also extending its range of mini excavators with the introduction of the battery electric SWE10FED and SWE60VFED models.

Cummins expands fuel-agnostic engine offering

Cummins is expanding its range of fuel-agnostic engines further with the introduction of its new X15 unit. The firm says that this advanced 15litre engine offers reliability and lower operating costs as well as reduced emissions and improved fuel efficiency.

The engine is part of the CUMMINS HELM platform and offers customers the option to choose the fuel that best suits their needs. The common base can have cylinder heads and fuel systems specifically tailored for a single fuel- advanced diesel, natural gas or hydrogen.

Ammann’s new continuous asphalt plant

Ammann is now offering a continuous type asphalt plant for customer in the North American market. Designed and developed in the US but benefiting from experience from Europe also, the new plant will be manufactured in a new facility Ammann is setting up in the US also.

The new  Ammann Alpina plant will be able to produce from 270-540tonnes/hour of asphalt and features a drum mixer design aimed at North American market needs. Marzio Ferrini of Ammann commented, “We are going to open our new factory and it will be built there. It’s a product specifically for that market.”
