Cleaner power

Perkins is powering up with a new line of Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB compliant range of industrial engines. These diesels are said to offer an increase in power and torque as well as the number of options available. These power packages comprise engine, aftertreatment, radiator, air cleaner and optional compressor, which can all be mounted on a base frame. The first commercially available package will be the 1206E, a 7litre, six cylinder engine capable of producing up to 205kW.

Digging performer

Doosan has developed a new 38tonne class excavator, the DX380LC. High performance is claimed as well as increased control and precision, improved fuel economy and reduced noise and emissions. Aimed at heavy construction and excavation applications the machine can be used in developing construction sites and renovating highways. High stability is a feature as the machine uses the long and wide under carriage of the larger DX420LC excavator.

Speedy asphalt repairs

Fast and effective asphalt repairs can be made using the new Kasi infrared heating system. The improved machine has an upgraded infrared chamber that allows asphalt repairs of 1.52m2 areas in under 20 minutes and this improved chamber also has a longer life of over 10 years. The new 228mm wide Inconel alloy, heating converter offers a wider infrared heating mesh design and heats asphalt faster, deeper and more evenly.
