FLSmidth has opened an all-in-one service centre in Santiago, Chile, which is tailored to increase customer plant efficiency and safety among other critical offerings. Currently, FLSmidth employs approximately 60 people at its two Chilean service facilities and a total of 850 in Chile.

Italian firm MB has supplied crushing and screening buckets for use in Brazil, with the units carrying out important demolition and sorting work for the 2014 World Cup. Through a partnership with Grupo Monte Sinai Locação, the MB units have used for the construction of the Arena Pernambuco stadium ahead of the 2014 Brazilian World Cup. The first BF90.3 was purchased by the firm in May 2011 and was used for recycling demolished material at the Atlantico Sul shipyard in the Port of Suape (Pernambuco).

An SF-3000 machine from Power Pavers has been carrying out a paving job on Highway 218 to the north of Waterloo in the US state of Iowa. The SF-3000 machine forms part of a paving train on the project, which involved replacing and widening a section of the roadway and building new on/off ramps. The two-lane roadway has been paved to a thickness of 356mm and was paved over dowel baskets, while a key-way inserter with tie-bars was used. The job has also required the use of a Power Pavers PS-2700 placer/spread
