Metso has launched its redesigned Trellex ABC 70 belt scraper – said to have 25% more wear life and improved stability and performance. The Trellex ABC 70 is also said by Metso to be more easily available to “hard working quarries worldwide”. Fully compatible with other Trellex Pre-Cleaner such as ABC 90 and ABC 95, the ABC 70 ensures that no mechanical alterations are necessary if changing to a different blade type.

Element Six claims construction tool life is increased by 34% through use of its new HardZone synthetic diamond encapsulation technology. According to the company, the HardZone process can be used by tool manufacturers to either extend tool life or increase productivity, and is said to have been designed for easy adoption by tool manufacturers.

Engine manufacturer DEUTZ claims record results for its latest financial year. The firm says that the 2011 financial year was one of the best in its history even though the global economy deteriorated, particularly in the second half of the year.
