TRL Software has rolled out a new digital pavement asset management system for National Highways (NH) called P-AMS. The new P-AMS system is a customised for NH version of TRL Software's cloud-based digital product iROADS, which is a commercially available off-the-shelf platform designed for various infrastructure assets.
Firms are now offering technologies that will boost safety levels around working machines. These can alert operators to the vicinity of personnel to a working machine and even shut down a piece of equipment in the event of someone being in too close a proximity.
NIRA Dynamics and Univrses are working on road surface conditions analysis using data from connected vehicles, RWIS, radar/satellite images and weather prognoses to provide a real-time picture of the road status.
