The UK government has chosen six projects to move forward within the Red Diesel Replacement programme as a way to decarbonise construction, mining and quarrying.
Accelera, part of engine maker Cummins, along with Daimler Truck and PACCAR will each own 30% of the joint venture, with Chinese battery manufacturer EVE Energy having 10%.
The machinery and processing plant from BHS-Sonthofen are being set up at BASF’s new German battery production site to recycle lithium-ion batteries, including from vehicles.
