An important stretch of Indonesia’s crucial Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) project is due for completion in 2029. The work is being managed by Indonesian firm Hutama Karya.
This stretch will connect with Pekanbaru, while a section lining with Medan will be ready in 20131. For this section to complete, work will have to be carried out on the stretches between Jambi and Rengat, Rengat and Pekanbaru, Dumai and Rantauprapat, and Rantauprapat and Kisaran.
The Trans Sumatra Toll Road will measure 1,014.5km. Once the road is complete it will help develop transport, trade and tourism, providing a major boost to economic development, while reducing journey times.
