A £355 million road project for the UK city of Hull road has been delayed.
The £355 million project to upgrade the A63 dual carriageway in the UK city of Hull now looks to face delays. The project was to have been completed in the second quarter of 2025 but will now be delayed until the second quarter of 2026. Extremely challenging ground conditions have been given as the cause for the delay.
The final part of the project is the construction of a 400m underpass stretch and it is this that is facing the delays due to touch geological conditions. The underpass will carry traffic under a new road section that links Ferensway and Commercial Road.
The project will cut traffic congestion in Hull’s redeveloped waterfront area when complete. The project is being managed by National Highways.
