French firm Vinci has commissioned the D4 highway in the Czech Republic. Vinci has a 24-year maintenance deal for the PPP project. The new link features 32km of new road stretches as well as 16km of upgraded roads and cost €530 million to build.

Meanwhile, construction work is underway for a new stretch of the Prague Ring Road. Building this 12.6km stretch will cost €414.7 million. The work should be complete in 2027. It is being carried out by a consortium made up of comprising Eurovia CZ, Stavby mostu, Porr, and Porr Bau.

Once complete, the stretch will help reduce traffic delays in Prague. The new section will feature two tunnel stretches and four intersections. The route will link Bechovice with the D1 highway. The project is being overseen by the Czech Road and Motorway Administration (RSD).
