A new bridge will speed transport between the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo in Central Africa. The project is expected to cost $700 million, with bidding for the work due to open in June 2025. The winning bid should be announced in September 2025.

If the schedule is met and the necessary financing and approvals finalised, then construction could start by November 2025. The new bridge will carry both road and rail across the Congo River. New road links and border points on both sides of the bridge will also have to be constructed as part of the project.

This link will speed transport between the two nations, replacing the current ferry service. The bridge will connect, Kinshasa, the capital of Democratic Republic of Congo, with Brazzaville, the capital of Republic of the Congo. The new bridge would improve transport between the two nations, boosting trade for both. The project is one of the aims of the New Partnership for Africa's Development. The project for the bridge is behind schedule, with completion originally having been expected in late 2025. The work has been the subject of extensive negotiations between the two countries, which have had tense relations with each other in the past.
