Estimates suggest that a road link connecting Iraq with Turkey will prove costly. A new report has suggested that the work could cost as much as US$17 billion.
The road link would be 1,200km in length. The report comes from the Arab Gulf States Institute. Construction would take until 2038 to complete due to the topographical and political challenges of the work.
The project will provide an enormous boost to Iraq’s economy.
